• Monday - Federal Reserve bank (Fed) chairman Powell speaks: the Fed chairman is speaking at the Economic Club in Washington DC, BlackRock BLK earnings.

• Tuesday - June Retail Sales (month to month): -0.1% vs. 0.1% in May: Business Inventories, Export Prices, Import Prices, NAHB Housing Market Index, Canada CPI (June): prices forecast to rise 2.9% YoY, Bank of America BAC, UnitedHealth Group UNH, PNC Financial Services PNC Earnings.

• Wednesday - Building Permits, Capacity Utilization, EIA Crude Oil Inventories, Housing Starts, Industrial Production, MBA Mortgage Applications Index, US Bancorp USB, Johnson & Johnson JNJ, Kinder Morgan KMI Earnings.

Donald Pump ?

Obviously the attempted assassination attempted on Trump dominated the news this week, but I thought I would share you some interesting insights on the whole thing and see how these massive real world events effects markets, so you can capitalize in the future.

One area of major affect is the crypto market. With Bitcoin soaring 3% in the aftermath of Trump surviving the gunshot fired at him. Suggesting that many crypto traders are now banking on his reelection chances after this shit show.

In terms of the stock market it has been a bit quieter. However, Trump media shares surged 50% in premarket trading Monday. Makes sense, the guy ate a bullet !

With analysts now suggested the assassination attempt could make a Trump victory in the November election more likely. Many investors are looking forward to what that will entail for the market and economy. It looks like bank, health-care and oil-industry stocks would benefit from a Trump victory.

While according to Purves. a major boost in Trump’s election odds could push the Federal Reserve toward staying on hold for longer which is not ideal for interest rates.
