Election Mayhem

With the United States presidential election taking place in November of 2024, this will likely be one of the most important events of the year. The current administration may attempt to gain voters through the means of stimulus and legislation and we certainly see drama on both sides this year.

Return Of Real Estate

2023 was brutal for real estate, mainly because of interest rates and limited housing supply. As the economy has cooled (slightly), we expect a few rate cuts in 2024 which will benefit buyers, but, if homebuilders can't continue to churn out houses, it will be another average year.

Year For AI

2023 was for AI what 96’ was for the Chicago Bulls. OpenAI had a year to remember and I believe they will have another this coming year. Elon’s startup - X.AI has recently filed for a $1 billion dollar equity offering - we will see where this goes over the next few months. The AI hype train is rolling into 2024, is it a bubble that will pop or will it be the banger afterparty?

Global Conflicts

Russia/Ukraine and Israel/Hamas were some of the most noteworthy events of the year. I would not be surprised to see a Taiwan/China conflict take place in 2024 - especially with President Xi’s recent statement about how Taiwan’s reunion with China is “inevitable”. This would certainly impact trade, manufacturing, and many other aspects of day to day life.
