Germany Braces For Biggest Real Estate Crisis Since The Financial Crisis of 2008🏠
Deutsche Pfandbriefbank, or PBB, a German lender specializing in real estate has put aside a lot of cash for bad debts. This is in preparation for what it calls the “worst decline in commercial property values in 15 years”.
PBB increased its provisions for losses of loans by €215 million ($231.7 million) last year. This is due to the “persistent weakness of the real estates markets”.
PBB announced that they have enough cash and highly liquid assets on its balance sheet to operate for 6 months without new funding from investors.
Thankfully, not all appears to be lost yet.

China Attempts to Stabilize its Markets📉
Chinese shares and markets plummeted down to five-year lows on Monday.
Regulators have tried to reassure investors by promising to stabilize the markets by clamping down on share price manipulation and “malicious short selling”. Don’t ask me how short selling can be “malicious”.
Trump also stated he would impose 60% tariffs on China if he became president. Naturally, investors have lost a lot of confidence in China.

Tucker Carlson Interviews Putin📝
Carlson has spoken in a pre-interview explainer on his reasoning behind interviewing Vladdy Daddy. He cited the effects of the war in Ukraine on the global economy and government policies concerning the military.
Carlson also attacked Western media for being too uncurious and even claimed that the public is egregiously uninformed.
The EU has placed a travel ban on him, and ex-congressman Adam Kinzinger has called Carlson a “traitor”.
Big Earnings
Ford, PayPal, Alibaba & Snap💰
$F — Ford went up 3.5% thanks to a positive outlook for 2024. Ford also beat their EPS estimates by 140% and forecasted revenue by just over 6% last quarter.
$PYPL — PayPal went down 10% due to disappointing guidance which outweighed their decent quarterly performance with EPS estimates beat by 6%.
$SNAP — Snap plummeted 28% as it continues to try and recover its ad business.
$BABA — Alibaba went down 6% following their earnings. This follows lower-than-expected sales revenue in Q4. They have however bought back $25 billion worth of shares, interesting.

Biggest Bribery Raid in Justice Department History⚖️
On Tuesday, prosecutors announced that 70 current and former employees of the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) are facing bribery and extortion charges. 66 of the 70 defendants were arrested on Tuesday morning.
This is the largest number of such charges issued in a single day in the US Department of Justice’s (DOJ) history.
The defendants are accused of asking for over $2 million from contractors in return for awarding over $13 million of no-bid contracts.
Good to see the biggest public housing authority in the US ain’t even straight.
Thank you
