Reddit IPOs on NYSE

Shares of the site which fueled the frenzy around meme stocks like GameStop, can now be bought and sold on the stock market.

Reddit is now trading as $RDDT and are selling 22 million shares pricing its IPO at $34. This gives the company a theoretical value of $6.4 billion. Shares opened at $47 though, 38% above the offer price. Reddit closed the day at $50.44 per share, giving the company a new market cap of $8.2 billion.

Reddit has come out the gates well and had a strong IPO. However, the real test will be to see how Reddit performs in the longer term.

Surprise surprise, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced that Boeing is missing vital elements of safety culture.

The FAA have recently pledged to hold Boeing accountable for its production quality issues.

This has been a long time coming, and is hardly surprising. I sure as hell won’t be getting on a Boeing plane any time soon.

New York Takes Initial Steps To Seize Trump’s Assets

The New York Attorney General has filed certain judgements, a primary indication that the state is preparing to seize some of Trump’s assets, like his golf course and Seven Springs estate.

This comes less than a month after a judge made official his $464 million decision against Trump.

This decision further damages Trump’s image as he attempts to raise cash for his third run for the White House, and the fucking stack of legal bills.

Putin Threatens West With WW3

Putin has warned the West that if war were to break out with between Russia and Nato, the world would be one step away from WW3.

The Ukraine war has just exacerbated the crisis in relations between Russia and the West.

This is probably pretty unlikely though, no one really wants WW3. It would simply lead to all of us just getting nuked to shit.

Gates Backed Company To Deploy Nuclear Reactors In USA

TerraPower is advancing its plans to build a nuclear power plant in Wyoming. This would be the first advanced nuclear power plant on US soil. This company is backed by Bill Gates.

TerraPower is still waiting for a construction permit from federal regulators. Should they get it, work is planned to start in June.

This move will be crucial for the startup, as it aims to bring a number of next-generation reactors online. It is argued that these newer reactors will help meet net zero carbon emission goals (ewww).

Trump Sues ABC News

Trump has filed a defamation lawsuit against ABC News and host Stephanopoulos after certain comments were made about him on-air.

This was about a supposed rape Trump did in 1996. Again, not good for someone running for president.
